President, Kikuji Horiuchi founded Horiuchi Medical Engineering Co., Ltd. in Kawaguchi City, Saitama prefecture in Japan. It was the first company to develop and manufacture artificial joint prosthesis's in Japan. Its main products included surgical instruments.

Horiuchi joined Zimmer Japan KK (present Zimmer KK). Horiuchi, in senior manager position, developed the artificial joint/CHS plates/MTS system.
He dedicated 14 years to the establishment of the Development/Manufacturing Department and formulated its foundation and subsequent growth.

Moved to the Numazu Business Incubation Center supported by the New Business Development Office, the Department of Commerce, Industry and Labor, Shizuoka Prefecture and established Hollyx Co., Ltd.
Artificial joints, bone fixation devices (plates, screws, intramedullary nails etc.) were researched and developed. |
