President, Kikuji Horiuchi founded Horiuchi Medical Engineering Co., Ltd. in Kawaguchi City, Saitama prefecture in Japan.
It was the first company to develop and manufacture artificial joint prosthesis's in Japan. Its main products included surgical instruments.

●Artificial hip joint： Katayama type, Maezawa type and Itami type from the Jikei University School of Medicine
●Artificial knee joint：Katayama type, Nishi type, Kudo type and Yoshino type from the Jikei University School of Medicine
●Artificial shoulder joint：Katayama type and Nishi type from the Jikei University School of Medicine
●Artificial elbow joint：Katayama type, Nishi type, Imura type and Kudo type from the Jikei University School of Medicine
●Artificial ankle joint：Otuka-Uchida type from Tokyo Metropolitan University and Nara Medical University type
In addition, medical implants including bone fixation devices were researched and developed. |

Horiuchi joined Zimmer Japan KK (present Zimmer KK).
Horiuchi, in senior manager position, developed the artificial joint/CHS plates/MTS system.
He dedicated 14 years to the establishment of the Development/Manufacturing Department and formulated its foundation and subsequent growth.

Moved to the Numazu Business Incubation Center supported by the New Business Development Office, the Department of Commerce, Industry and Labor, Shizuoka Prefecture and established Hollyx Co., Ltd.
